William Schrikker Groep more efficient with OpenIMS DMS

The William Schrikker Groep (WSG) is a national institution that, since 70 years,  provides youth protection, youth probation and foster care. WSG, that also develops and manages knowledge and skills in her independent Expertise Centre, is improving her efficiency by implementing OpenIMS DMS.

The most important benefits OpenIMS DMS offers WSG are the ability to share and disseminate information digitally, guarantee the privacy of their clients, validate the correctness and completeness of files and cost reduction by decreasing the numbers of papers to copy and post.

Every location and time
OpenIMS Document Management Server (OpenIMS DMS) is fully webbased and is deployed to create and manage youth files. The employees of the William Schrikker Groep work spread across The Netherlands en flexible in and out of office hours. Hence it was of eminent importance the system is available 24/7 to them, so they can open documents from every location and time.   

In addition to history and version management, handling and reminding terms can be granted to documents in order to indicate extensions and evaluations. Also archiving and destruction regulations can be enforced centrally.

The William Schrikker Groep offers care for children with a shortcoming or chronicle dissease, and also for children whose parents are restricted in their care because of shortcomings. If serious parenting issues arise, the employees of WSG offer aid, advice and support.

The William Schrikker Groep was founded 70 years ago, had 1100 employees an exists of independent departments: Youth Care, Youth Probation, Foster care and the Expertise Centre. Each department has its own specialisation and is supported by the Service Centre, which is an independent department too. This enables the departments to offer aid and assistance swiftly and focused.
